He is in the process of annexing the garden alongside the coop/run.


The pop door opens out under the partial roof so that they are sheltered in the bad weather, they come out and scratch around even when it is snowing out.

Thanks, I really love it. We have a small little flock of 4 and have 4 more that are 6 weeks old in the brooder to join them so it is a nice set up for such a small operation. The husband does everything in grand style haha.

I should mention, we have a couple dogs that are not chicken safe so the entire run is enclosed in welded wire and then a layer of chicken wire is run around the inside to keep their little heads inside the run so that a weed does not entice them into the danger zone and that is then curved down and buried to deter diggers into the run. The exposed top is all covered in welded wire to keep any predators out since my dogs are inside sleepers. The wood you see is pallets to hold the compost bins that they get to dig through and deposit nitrogen to help it along. I am pretty proud can you tell lol?
