Do You have any buff orphs? Or blue? or splash chicks? those are the colors I seem to be missing maybe and RIR or a buckeye also ? I need some red to

I am not a builder either, but, my 10 year old son and I put together one of those hoop coops a few weeks ago. Wow, was it ever easy!! And terrific for our chicks ( when it warms up at night anyway). I plan on them being able to free range when I am home, but, during the day, and at night they will live in the chicken tractor ( hopefully). I read this forum many times picking up ideas before trying anything myself. I am just amazed at how easy to build that hoop coop is!

I used to build hoop type rabbit hutches when I was 12 and on into my teen years. They went together with hog rings which just require a special type of pliers. Cutting the wire was the most difficult part and that was easy.

The hutches used 1/4 inch plywood which was clamped in place with the hog rings, also.

A saber saw makes cutting plywood in an arc easy. I got one as a gift for my dad back in those years. Fathers' Day is almost here

And Henry, the coop and hoops look like excellent choices to me

thanks digits I will probably be barrowing my cousins pickup and going with my mom to get the coop soon. I will try and find hog or cattle pannels? or PVC soon. The hens have mostly been free ranging so far when I have been out of school.

I am picking up the coop on saturday and I have it on hold it is the red color like that

Tommarow and Friday will probably be run making days. So what do you think should I use hog panels or should I use PVC and chicken wire or hardware cloth?
