My coop & run currently (Pictures)

Hey guys! Just a few pictures I took this morning. Maintained the coop & run yesterday afternoon. Turned over the run and raked it out. Cleaned out the coop & lean to and added some pine shavings. Chickens sure enjoy it!

Do you lock your chicken inside the coop at night? Looks like you have woods around your property and probably raccoons and other predators. Nice clean looking chicken coop and run. You have some lucky girls.

I lock the run door and the hens in the coop at night. When I'm not home they are locked in just the run during the day. We live in a field so we do get hawks. Not so much ground predators, but recently I lost one of my girls to a fox. So I've become more careful about when they get let out to free range.

Looks like a nice safe coop. Hardware cloth on the window. Can't see anything getting in there to hurt them. Love how big that run is. Makes for some happy chickens.

Nothing has even gotten into the run yet, which makes me feel like they're very safe. I will be increasing the size to double it's size now this summer since I'm getting six new chicks. Can't wait!
