I don't know if there is a problem, if they seem OK, I guess not. I thought I read on here somewhere that if roosts are too high, heavier breeds can hurt themselves jumping down. My highest perch is about 4 feet, if we put in rafters they will be at 7. Mine like to go as high as is offered, but I figure if they can fly up there (which some of my larger birds can't do), they can fly down, so what's the harm.

Chicken Boy,
It was supposed to be funny.

Same thing here. We have about 6 " (maybe) of dirt, then limestone. Rocks all over the place. After a rain, new rocks pop up like they were planted and are just now breaking ground.

With all the rain we are having, the grass is extra high. If you wait too long to mow, the rocks hide in the grass. Have you ever heard the sound of a riding mower or John Deer when it hits a rock ? Do you know how far a mower can sling a rock ? Neighbor had one go through a window and imbed itself in a wall. It's as bad as a stray bullet !

BTW - awsome coop !
