My Coop

My boyfriend Dennis and I built this cute coop this weekend. He did a really good job on it. My silkies love it. They have so much room to run around in.

It actually took us 3 full sundays to finish it we work ALOT through the week so sundays were the only days we had time to build.

Keep BF around because he seems handy as that's a nice coop!

My advice would be to add some hardware cloth to the bottom half of the walls - animals such as raccoons will scare them into a corner, reach through to grab a chicken, then pull...not a pleasant sight to wake up to.

Yes...and anti-dig aprons!
Good examples of anti-dig apron installation.
If rodents are prolific, burying the apron ~12" would be good.
