my coworker gave me 2 peeps

Hello! My name is Christina. I live in St. Petersburg, FL. I work with a wonderfully nutty woman who bought me 2 peeps. I think they are 5 weeks old. She gave them to me 03/12 & told me she thought they were about a week old at that time. So who knew how fast these little buggers grew. I'd guess all of you did, but I sure didn't. I have no idea what breed or sex they are. Mine looks like a leghorn but other than that I'm clueless for the moment. Hopefully they turn out to be hens & not roosters. Luckily for me if they are roosters the friend will take them off my hands as her daughter has a farm. I've been reading up on BYC for the past 4 weeks. I'm so glad you are all here for people to be able to learn from you! Woodstock (my chick) & Dax (my 11 1/2 year old daughter's chick) thank you as well! I am open to guesses on the breed or sex of my babies & have included pictures for that purpose!!

glad to have you here... those chickens are cute.... looks like leghorn type... probably mutts, They'll have white earlobes if they're leghorns, and lay white eggs.

Thanks! Some people say dog mutts make better pets because they don't have specific breed traits. Are chickens like dogs in the Mutt department?
