My crest duck has a growth on her head

However, just because she's disabled doesn't mean she's doomed. You need to prepare yourself for the worst, but many people have had disabled birds live for a long time.

I have two crested ducks... Not my choice. I don't let either of them breed. But they get along just fine being ducks. I do find myself constantly concerned about their brain.

It's not gloom and doom, but there's nothing that can be done. Watch her and see if she's progressing... Since it's genetic (like hair or eye color) there's nothing that can be "done" and no need to separate unless she's being picked on (it's not contagious).

Nutridrench can help with some neurological problems, but only those with vitamin deficiencies. Her problem is not a vitamin deficiency. Thank you! I have actually been paying close attention and she is actually walking a lot better. She still has times where she struggles but I honestly think my sweet little duck will be just fine. However, I do agree with others- I think people should stop breeding them (crest ducks) because it is cruel to the ducks.

Do you have your sweet duck on additional niacin that can help a lot with leg problems and neurological issue too.

I like to use Nutritional yeast sprinkled over their feed at 1 tab per cup of feed or Brewers yeast same ratio.

Well I have been using brewers yeast for animals and dogs and now I give her along with my other ducks normal human yeast which seems to have helped her a lot I also give them a vitamin and an electrolyte drink that has niacin but I switch it up with the brewers yeast like an every other day thing. For example Monday they will get the brewers yeast and then Tuesday they get the drink. I have pulled her to the side(I have started this recently) and I feed her by herself with a little extra brewers yeast. I am very careful because I have read that you can overdose them. I am new to all of this and they are only five or six weeks old! I let them walk and swim every single day, especially her. I have read that exercise will help with building that muscle in her legs which will help with her walking!
