I started building this last month. What started out as a plan to build a small
shed grew into this quickly.

It's 12' x 24'. I used a 31 degree roof for better strength, snow runoff, and
loft storage. I'm almost half way through the vinyl siding.

It's a mess and a work in progress but it is fully operational. The main
chicken area is 18' x 3' with a divider if needed. I had the divider in but my
hens insisted on more space, just like my wife.

On top of the chicken area is the rabbit condo. It has two floors so we can
seperate them once they start doing the rooster/rabbit dance.

Next to the rabbits is our secondary brooder. Our chicks will go in there at 3 or
4 weeks.

In back we have the run. It's temporary and will be must larger when I'm done.

The chickens will hang out with me on my little couch. That is where you'll find
me every night when the kid goes to sleep.

I put this fan insert in whenever I can. It pulls dust and air directly out of the
coop area and makes a HUGE difference in the temp and dust levels.

Sorry dial up users.

Very Nice setup. My DH has a building that size that he uses for his wood shop,

I keep trying to talk him into letting me have it for the hen house, so far no luck.

TC, "rec room" is the perfect description.

NC, explain to your husband it is truly dual purpose and he'll
have the chickens to talk to when he's working on a project.

Thanks for the kind words.

Cleaning is easy. I pull all the shavings to the middle with a rake and shovel
them out of the two back chicken doors. We change the pine every 4 to 6 days.

We have good inside and outside access to the chicken area.

Once the clutter is taken care of I can blow the whole thing out with a leaf blower
too.

I'm also in the process of building an air filter/dust filtration system out of an
AC unit.

Roosts are on the back wall. One side has 3" wide roosts, 18 inches of the ground.
The other is 2" wide, 12" off the ground.
