Oh I understand that! Now, almost 8 years later, I need both knees replaced and there's no way I could do it again. When the kit part gives out, I'd like to wall off one corner of the run and add the box with legs thats still good back on. But that's too ambitious for the conditon I'm in. (I need both knees replaced, long story) anything like that is not something I could take on now. The kits aren't as bad as some say. I got an amazing deal after lookng on line. About $200, delivered. But it was just so small. If it says 6 hens, they really means 2 or 3. I have all these big plans, but limping around is not too helpful, so it can wait. This is really simple, but i have used white plastic barells I got for free, laid on their sides,between bricks to for a rooster that needed bachelor pad after getting agressive with my daughter. Nice layer of hay makes a decent temporary home. Post pictures when you get it all set up a
