Is this bad for chickens? Is there a more chicken-friendly alternative for weed control? And if he does it now, will it still affect the chickens I'm going to buy in the Spring?

i think it's bad for the chickens. i treat our front yard but not or back yard. even though our chickens stay in a run and cannot free range in our yard. i still would not want insects walking through our treated lawn and then into the run. plus leeching in the soil is also a risk.

chicken friendly weed control for me is cutting our grass 3.4-4 inches tall and using a tall fescue type turf.

Our next door neighbor works for the company, and the chemicals they use are horrible. THank God we live above them on the hill, but when they spray you can smell it in the house.
