Hello BYC! I am Old Grey Mare. Some of you may know my daughter. (Hint - she's also a Mare)...

Just thought I'd join and see what all the fuss was about. After all, I raised the Mare and dealt with all the chickens and everything in between.

It will take me a bit to get the hang of navigating the forum, and posting. Please hang in there with me and forgive any mistakes. Pleased to meet you all!! Hope to chat in the near future.

Who would've thought that allowing Mini Mare to rescue that one goose from the park years ago would lead to such a love for birds. Now that love is being passed on to both Innie Minnie Mares. You certainly started something special. This love for birds brought all of us together and I, along with many others, really appreciate that because having Mare as a friend has made my life and many others better. My apologies for being so so cheesey, but we're thrilled to have you

@Old Grey Mare I am so excited that you decided to join, I am hoping to have some fun and educational conversations with you. Aside from loving your part of our great country, and the lovely young lady you have brought up, I am looking forward to getting to know you (as much as you feel comfortable with).
Please feel free to call me "Urs" or "Midge"(I am 4'11 1/2"). tall, hence the nick name.

Well I do now like reptiles! She came home from her Dad's at the age of 7 with a baby ball python! It was 20 when he passed. He was a big boy. Best pet ever. Quiet eats only twice a month. Easy clean up. He was really friendly. My girls would put him on their arm put their WInter coats on & take him to the grocery store!

Oh she freaked LOL. Snake was bought though and stepmother had a phobia. So he had to live at mom's.
