My daughter stepped on chick

I let my baby chicks about 1 month old out to play in the yard. My daughter stepped on one, what do I do to help it, I am extremely upset.
It won’t get up and walk, it’s breathing, it won’t drink on its own but will out of a medicine dropper.
What do I do?

It likely has internal injuries, you need to prepare yourself to put it down if it doesn't improve in a few hours.

I agree, it may have internal injuries or broken bones. They are so fragile when young. I once squashed a baby chick when a broody hen had hidden her nest and I was trying to gather the chicks to take them all back to my coop. It happens. Keep the chick warm and in a quiet location. Offer electrolytes or sugar water (1 tsp per cup) up to it beaks and dip in often if it alert to swallow.) I hope that it makes it, and sorry it happened.
