I'm so sorry he didn't make it. It sounds like he might have had a heat stroke, I had a hen act the same way after we found her laying sprawled out under a tree on a 100*F day. The poor thing appeared to limp around because she was extremely uncoordinated, she also drug her wings constantly until she passed almost 2 weeks later.

There's no way he was kept in a very cool and shady area, I've had a bird have a heart stroke before but this little guys spine was his problem.

I am so so sorry for your loss! That's so difficult he was such a lovely bird! Sounds like it could have possibly been Marek's the way you describe it but can't be for certain.again I'm so very sorry for the loss of your bird! May God comfort you during this very sad time!
