Oh yes!! They are on her mirror for now, but when I was little I had strings that would go from one corner of the room to the other full of ribbons!! She will get there!
I was hoping she would get a big reserve ribbon, but they gave out glasses with the stable name and champion and reserve champion on them. That is up on her shelf!!
My son likes the horses, just not interested in lessons or showing and thats ok too...lol. I am of course happy for the ribbons, but thrilled that it was a good positive experience for her. She has no idea that they are 1st and second place ribbons, all she knows is that she went, rode her horse and brought home ribbons and a glass!! She's happy!! I am just so proud of her. It was always my mom and I when I was little ging to the shows and doing the horse thing, now me and my daughter AND my mom...Just awsome!!
I still have boxes full of my old ribbons. I don't usually keep them anymore these days, but I just can't let go of the ones I won on my first pony, or my first horse...
The positive experience is what counts! That's so cool. Yeah, I don't care if my son doesn't want to ride and/or show, I just hope he enjoys and respects the animals--that's all that's important to me!

Well what happened is, his Dad is very well know in the world of paint horses. They bred him to Curley's mom and she was sold. The agreement was that when the baby was born, they would get him back and they would keep the mom. Well the mom's new owner wasnt having that once Curley was born. They ended up going to court and they won and got Curley. The day they went to pick him up, the guy sliced his ear and said that now he wouldn't be worth anything. Well, his ear turned out fine, but was curled up for a while. So the name Curley just kinda stuck.

Well, being that was her first, she didn't really see it as anything other than riding her horse at someone else's farm. She is very mature for her age when it comes to riding. She has always had a love and interest in horses and it shows though her riding. She is a natural, i know sounds corny, but she really is. She is just getting her confidence in herself being in control on the horse. He is a big baby to begin with but she has ridden the others that are a little more tricky for a little person. Curley goes a lot off of voice command and kissing to him. Her little legs are so short that the horses don't even feel here kicking. I think showing will help her socially. She is a shy one infront of others and it took her at least 3 lessons for her to comfortable with her instructor. So when I saw her yesterday smiling and doing exaclty what the judge asked her to do, I was so happy for her!!
