WoW....That head dress reminds me of an Indian Chief. Reminds me of my Foolzer...he is mixed and has a comb that looks like a walnut the size of a plumb.

The only breed with a comb like that is the Buttercup and I notice you have buttercup hens in the background too. He is beautiful! I raise them and am truly amazed how large the combs get! We actually have one named Moose also!!!!!

Yes, we have three three buttercup hens we got as chicks last spring. We thought they were very pretty birds and wanted to try some. We just got hens though no roosters. 'Moose' (D.J.) doesn't have a buttercup comb, it only looks like he does in the photo. It's double at the back and single at the front. His mother was a 'cherryegger' and his dad was a white crested black polish.

He is beautiful! If he was lighter in color and had a little white tuft at the end of his back he would sure pass as one(buttercup) in a pic!!!!
