My dear sweet dahlia is gone :(

No news on her, I keep looking and both DH and I are drawn to the wooded area behind our property for some reason even tho she has never set foot back there before. As for the MIL she will forever be on my &^%$ list

Her and I like I stated before have always tolerated each other but never really cared for one and other. I don't think that will ever change. She knows she will not be allowed to let her dogs run free and when we are watching them for that week it won't be here, Dh will be spending the week at his mothers house... Problem solved but it still doesn't bring my sweet little dahlia back

One of my friends up the road has like 90 chickens. This spring she had gotten some chicks. Her polish was out in the yard, maybe 3 months old at the time, along with the others. When they went to put everyone in for the night the polish was missing. It was gone for two days and we never thought it would survive the preditors around here, coyotes, raccoons, etc. All of a sudden the chick came walking out from behind the garage. My friend thinks she may have gotten under the back of the garage and couldn't find her way out (can't imagine why they are called polish). Anyway, don't give up on her yet.

No dahlia.... She is still MIA with no trace of her body to be found anywhere, with the heat and heavy rain here lately there is no possible way she could still be alive. I still stare out the window waiting to see her emerge from the woods with chicks in tow even tho I know deep down it's not gonna happen

It has been over 3 weeks now. Wish I had better news, I will always have an empty spot in my heart from this loss, she was by far the tamest most sweet serama I have ever had. Not having closure really hurts
