We still have our deer tail frozen in the freezer. It's tiny compared to BB's.

20 Mule Team Borax is the actual name.

Borax does work much better than salt in taking the moisture out.

After you split the tail and take the bone out you will need to pin the tail down flat to dry. If not it will curl and twist up.

My buddy is a taxidermist. He suggested the borax if you do not have access to powdered perservative used in taxidermy work.
