I have hatched out 3 different times this spring with some Delawares in each time. I collect eggs like 5 days in a row from all of my Delawares, most of them hatch and I am getting far more than 50% roosters to hens. Is there something I am doing wrong, do I need to change roosters? I just don't know how these genetics things work in chickens.

Yep! change your girls as they are determining gender

I have the same problem with my Japanese Bantams and Ringneck doves! I hatched 10 eggs from different hens and got 8 roosters and 2 hens.

So I tried again, and from 10 eggs I got 7 roosters and 3 hens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many of my hens are from different places and are not related.

My pair or ringneck doves have so far raised 4 baby doves. Now all grown up......guess what....ALL BOYS!!!!!

Maybe something in our water?

I hope I can figure it out because I was looking at 2 more young ones in a different pen and the 2 Delawares in there are looking rooish to me too. Dang!
