A friend of our says she looks like a German Wirehair Pointer. We looked up the breed and she is pretty close. I just want her to be a mutt. I don't want anyone to be looking for her. We are already in love.

Great story! Things like that restore my faith in the human race and the fact that your beautiful puppy may have been dumped, destroys it all over again!! But, you and yours have some good karma coming!

Mulemom, what breed is your Abbey? She looks a lot like my Pitt mix, same color and all.

My Abby is 105 lb lab/great dane? mix. She's only 5 1/2 and her hip is giving her a lot of trouble. She loves to go on the trail with the mules and if the mules do 30 miles in a weekend, she probably does 90 with all the circles and back and forth, and then there's the swimming. If there's water, she's in it.

We had to leave the two dogs locked in the trailer this week. Kate has a lot to learn about coming when she is called and Abby will still go the miles, but she can't move for a few days after, so I think her trail days are just about over.

Kate looks a lot like a dog I had. He was an Airedale mix. Smartest dog I've ever had! He was also dumped, but a lot younger. Vet thought he'd be 35 lbs. Turned out to be 90 lbs, but that was fine because I've always had large dogs.
Kate sure is lucky!
