My DH has another woman!

Went out to our club's site yesterday. It's 700 acres out in the middle of nowhere and this puppy was out there hiding from the bear and the coyotes. She was half starved, covered with fleas and ticks, and her tail has been broken in two places. My DH took one look at her and it was all over.

Her name is Kate. Our other dog Abby is happy to have a sister. She's really birdy though. I hope she can be taught the my chickens are not toys!

My father in law has a dog that looks almost exactly like that one that he rescued and she is the best dog he said he has ever had. She does everything with him and is very sweet. Way to go!

TundraChick. Your Abbie looks a lot like mine. Yours has longer hair. Lab mix? Abby Normal (her full name) is 105 lbs and looks like a lab with extra long legs and white on her chest on three quarters of the way up on front leg. She was also a rescue.

Abbie is a Lab/Golden Retriever mix. She is only about 60 lbs and a great dog. We are trying to teach her not to eat the chickens!
