I do too!!!! My chicken just pecked my broody the other day in the comb and her skin came off. (The skin with the little bumps) and it started to bleed. Hope Ella's ok!!!

Here is yesterdays.

Day 18

Today was so much fun! Malibu was gone most of the day, and I didn't get to see her for 16 hours straight! I was so sad. Then I got to see her and her friend; but Malibu smelled like little human again. I did -not- like that. I sat on top of my waterer, waiting to go to bed. Then the sky lit up! There was a big boom. There was a fire in the sky... it was all colorful. Apparently humans enjoy these 'fireworks'. I don't know why! It is just loud and bright. Well, they are kinda pretty. But scary. Malibu was late to put me in.. I would much rather go to bed at dusk than at 10:00. Tomorrow I will go in earlier though!


And todays. sorry I was so far behind; dealing with Ella today was -not- fun.


Day 19

Today was fun, then horrifying. I was playing in the grass, then got to go in with the big girls. Malibu watched and found out that the one that hurt me was (as you probably guessed) Petrie. She took Petrie out and put her in my cage. Then, when Malibu wasn't looking, I ran out the door and jumped into water. I was gonna try to hide, and Malibu came running over, so I put my head underwater. Bad idea. I flailed around as water entered my nose. Malibu got me out within 2 seconds of me being underwater. Then, she made me a little nest, and I started twitching. It was horrible, and even in the 90* weather, I was cold. The water was REALLY cold and the wind was blowing, so I shivered and twitched. Malibu's mother came out and held me closer. She was warmer than Malibu. She offered me feed, but I was too cold and scared to eat. So I dried off, and life was okay again. Malibu is watching me to make sure I don't get pneumonia. Or however you spell that. Tomorrow, I hope I remember that water is not for chickens. Except drinking.

Day 20


Today was fun. Malibu took Petrie out of the coop and put me in. I got to eat a pecker recker and a strawberry ice thing. It was so good!! There was thunder... Then a double rainbow AND it rained and it was sunny at the same time! It was wet, but fun! Tomorrow, I will explore more.

Day 21

Today was fun. I met the little girl Malibu watches. She carried me all around. I freaked out, but soon relaxed. It was scary to go down he slide while Malibu was talking to her mother. She fed me a strawberry, and it got all over my face!! It was So awesome!! She chased me around. Tomorrow I will see her again!!
