my dog and chicks!!

lst two days one of my two Shiba Inu's, Yoshi will not leave the chickens alone...not hurting them but wanting to protect them...yesterday when he and I were in the fence fedding ect..he barked at something in the tall weed field behind my property..and he would not leave the fence with me..even when I did get him in for supper he just whined to get out and into the fence with the chickens again..he stayed all nite and didn't want to leave this morning as he comes to work with me everyday since he was 8 weeks old and is now 5yrs.....there are two buff op roosters that really like him and follow him around...he still likes to play and occasionally sneaks up on some and chase them a little...he has fun with them and they don't mind....
now my other shiba Miaka would like to eat them...as she is a hunter to heart...as shibas are the most recently domesticated dogs and were hunters of pigs bear in mountains of japan.....pretty cool I thought...jeff

ps oh and when he finds something to chew on in the grass the chickens come running...
