I have a soon to be 1 year old German Shepherd dog (he turns 1 on April 8th). He’s very very good with the chicks, very gentle, nudges them with his nose every once in a while, lets them crawl on him, and just watches them. I 100% trust him with them. He’s always loved little animals from kittens to chickens he LOVES them, but these chicks it’s different. He ALWAYS wants to be by their side, I keep them in the bathroom for now and when the door is shut he just sits on the other side waiting for it to open. Why is he like this? I don’t mind it it’s just weird that he always wants to be by them like their his children.
