im so sorry for your loss, he was absolutely stunning. Try not to blame the pet-sitter. it IS possible that they had no clue what had happened.

I also hope those other pups find homes, its a terribly heartbreaking story all the way around

I do blame the pet sitter. She should have either called me or the vet. I called her the next day & that's how I found out. As a pet sitter, it is not her responsibility to decide what needs vet care & what doesn't. She calls the owner & they make the decision. A ruptured liver has symptoms that are recognizable as severe.
