Wow, I am sorry for both of you and your fur babies. Glad to see that you understand its quality not quantity. Our fur babies can't understand some of the pain they feel is because we tried to help them, they just know they are in pain.That is quite old. The vet was concerned it had spread to Hattie's pancreas. Had it spread to any of her vital organs, we would not gave tried anything aggressive, either. It's about quality of life, you know? Don't want to torture her with endless surgeries and treatments. Never an easy decision to make.
My heart goes out to you and TJ. They just never stay in our lives long enough...

Good luck to both and although it's very hard and heart breaking to have too make that final decision. Its the last gift/good thing you can do for them if they are suffering.
