What can I do with shiitakes?

I’m thinking about using my dehydrator to dry them overnight. I’ll rehydrate them when I want to use them.

You can pan fry them fresh. Not everyone likes the shitake mushroom flavor. It is a mushroom that was developed in Japan not all that long ago. It needs white oak wood to grow. This is from some info I recall long ago.

Sally, I ENJOY the forum. And I get upset when I "get pushed off". I have your message....on my desk...when my Husband passed: "do not cry because it is over....smile because it happened." I never forget you and the forum. Aria
