Ummm, sorry, your dad has a serious problem. You did just fine with the dog that you returned to its owners, much more than most would have done. Just ask the owners! I would have been thrilled with the way it turned out, if that had been my dog that jumped into your car.

In reality, the "touching" was done by the dog, not you, when it jumped into your car. You should probably do some research on the concept of karma, if you actually buy into your dad's concept.

Here's hoping your puppy does not have any brain damage. You do need to come up with appropriate confinement if she recovers, though. And it sounds like you need to deal with some issues related to your father.

Oh I am so sorry. I will pray for the little one's recovery or quick passing. I would hate to see that sweet creature suffering. even with neurological damage, they can lead a fruitful life...it depends on the severity. My sister had a teacup poodle that was brain damaged from abuse....sweetest thing. she could not control her tongue and her neck was cocked to one side but she was happy, playful and lived to be 14 years old.

Sadly, there are insensitive, callous SOBs out there that never even slow down if they hit an animal. I so wish someone had seen your doggie hit and could have gotten a tag number...I hope they have nightmares for the rest of their days!

As for your father...tell him to Shut the H*** UP. That is a load of crapola...you took care of the dog and returned her to her owners. That is GOOD KARMA. I love my daddy to pieces but I would tell him to shut the H up if he ever said something that STUPID to me.

You racked up good karma with that dog - let's hope it comes back to you now. Regarding your dad - mine was very cruel with the things he'd say and how he would say them. I didn't speak to him for several years and he is no longer like that towards me, but he still runs other people down to me. I truly believe that he & those like him use that sort of thing to feel better about themselves. Realize it's his problem - not yours.

One word of advice...
