my dog killed my duck

so i have 2 ducks and one dog i have had the ducks for almost about 2 years now and just today my dog killed of the ducks which his name was jack and the other duck witnessed my dog kill jack and in front of her and her name is holly but now she dosent let anybody near her she will just start running away from us and quack very quiet so i’m pretty sure she is traumatized because they both grew up together and she just witnessed one of her best friends die so i don’t know what to do

Do you know where she sleeps? Maybe at night get her and put her in a large cage and keep her warm to treat for shock.

How long ago did this happen?

Did you witness it happening? Have you worked with your dog on not chasing or attacking your birds?

RIP... and that duck is gonna have PTSD for a long while
