My drake is a gentleman!

It's being a month now that I bought a pair of Pekin ducks. It's self evident that at the beginning both ducks were very distant to me but in a months time I managed to make the hen come and eat from my palm! The strange thing though is that the drake never comes to me and he remains so unfriendly. I really wonder why? Besides I must say that he is a true gentleman! When I put fresh lettuce for both of them he never starts to eat until the hen is full up! I wonder if this happens with all pekin ducks.
