My drake Limpy makes me scratch my head by scratching his

Hi Friends!
I don't know what to make out of my drake's behavior. Every morning, after i released the ducks from their house he walks a couple of steps out, sits down and scratches his head. He has no mites, ticks, flees or any other visible parasites and the skin on his head doesn't look irritated or swollen.
He is not scratching his head during the whole day, nor have i seen him doing so while in the duck house overnight.
I'm really scratching my head over him scratching his…
Could that be some displacement activity? For what?
