what’s wrong with latte’s beak? it was raining all morning so the ducks were digging/playing in the mud, and it started pouring so i went to bring them back in and his beak looked like this? i know a little bit of peeling is normal but i’ve never seen this?

Is he molting? My drake is molting right now and his bill looks just like yours does. If hes behaving normal, I wouldn't worry

nope he’s not molting, he’s acting normal though and is playing in the mud again right now

The superficial keratin layer will undergo shedding sometimes throughout the year with birds - the degree to which it's noticeable will vary with each individual. In other cases, the problem can be due to xerosis, hypovitaminosis A, but looking at the picture you provided the severity is minimal, and you shouldn't need to do much.
