The mother duck was sitting on the duck eggs for 2 weeks and the have been with us for about 3 weeks and we dont have an incubator but when we candle them we see the air cell and a little dark figure and I'm not sure if they are moving and I'm having a hard time trying to convince people to wait to see if they hatch and I'm starting to think they wont I'm worried that they are dead and I would really appreciate any advice on what to do with the eggs thankyou

The eggs need to stay warm to hatch. You will need to buy or build an incubator to keep them warm enough. Search YouTube for building incubators, there are lots of examples.

Even if preparing an incubator takes a little time, it may still work for you. Look at the https://www.metzerfarms.com website for good advice for hatching ducks. They sell hatching eggs and want you to succeed at hatching. They have a story about removing duck eggs from the incubator for balut. The customer didn't pick pick up the eggs after two days so they put them back in the incubator, and over half hatched.

Remember, it takes 28 or so days to hatch duck eggs, and chickens take only 21 days.

If you get prepared and give it a try but none hatch, you will still be ahead of the game, because you will be prepared for next time.

Best of luck!

Has the duck given up on them?

I had a duck try hatching some eggs while it was still cool out. She sat for a full month and then gave up. I then took the eggs and candled them. There were ducklings inside, not moving. I popped them in my little incubator and they hatched the same day. I think the cold temps resulted in slowed growth, and at the end, slow hatching. If it's still cold where you are, they may take longer to hatch. For me the mama duck is the indicator here. If she stops sitting, then put them in an incubator to warm up enough to start hatching.

But if it's only been 3 weeks, you've still got a little bit of waiting left.

Good luck!
