my duck flew away

I had 1 male and 4 females. I had the duck quite a while. They started to lay in May and they hatched in June.After the babies hatched I took them away as I had problems with them being ated by crows in the past. After I took them they 3 out of 4 female flew away as one was still stitting. Ifoun it weird that they didn't all fly away together. I still have the drake and the female that was stitting. Was I not sopost to take the ducklings away?

They where muscovy and had the option to be go outside durning the day but they were locked up for night.
