Hi. My duck has laid soft eggs for going on three years. Her first year she laid regular eggs consistently from August through to the next July. She molted then and since has given me soft shelled eggs with no yolk. She's a khaki Campbell. Her belly hangs quite low. I have a hen and drake Indian runners. The drake mounts both hens. I get normal eggs from the runner. They are fed layer pellets and I have Oystershell available to them but it doesn't get used much. Any ideas?

! Great to have you in our community! I've no clue on the soft eggs but it seems to be something about that particularly duck (not environment or diet, etc.) since the others are laying normal eggs. You might inquire in the Ducks Forum here and see what they have to say: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks
Hope you get some good advice - best wishes and thanks for joining BYC!!

IF your duck has laid soft eggs for 3 years, I wouldn't expect her to change now. If her belly hangs so low, maybe she has a health issue - maybe fluid from heart trouble or some other problem. Or complications of her 'egg making' machinery . She probably would do better with a complete physical examination and tests required.
