My duck is having babys

One of my mallards is having babys and we are hesitant to let her join back with the rest of the flock because we don't know if she will be able to protect her babys from them as she is significantly smaller than our other ducks. (The flock is of mixed breeds that lives at the pond) her nest is right next to our house. Should we keep the mom and babys in our coop (with food water bath ect...) for a couple of weeks or let her go back to the pond with the rest of the flock and multiple geese that have flown in.

If you want the ducklings to have the best chance at survival, pen mother and babies for those two weeks, or even one week.
