My duck is missing, help!

This duck I got from an agway, so I'm not exactly sure what breed she was. I believe she was an American black duck. She looked almost exactly like this

I don't think an American Blk duck would come from a hatchery they are wild. but Mallard ducks look similar did she have blue on her wings. Mallards can fly really well and can take off just about straight up off the ground.

Yeah she had a blackish blue on her wings and when she was a duckling she was a dark brown

looks like these? she may have flown off looking for a mate, that time of year here in the USA.

That is what she looks like, she pretty much looks like that. So what do you think did she fly off or got swooped up by a predatory bird?

Hard to say it could have been either. But seems if she had flown off the other one would have went too. And if a pred please protect the one left behind just in case it was a flying pred.

The other duck had her wings clipped. I'm leaning more towards the fact that she flew away because I saw no blood or anything so just tell me what you think. I am protecting the other one right now I seal her up in her little house during the night and I give her water. If the duck did fly away would she ever come back?

Maybe she will, very hard for me to say. do you have water close by where you live? lake or river or ponds?she may have flown off and landed close by. I'll say she flew off, now I hope you'll consider getting a friend for the one left behind because she is going to be very lonely. I have to clip my Scovy's wing we have a river right below our home.

Yea there is a large body of water there is a pond right down the road from me. If she flew off do you think she might still be there?
