I have a 1 year old Khaki Campbell drake. I noticed yesterday he wasn't hanging out with the other ducks and seemed to be really sedentary. We have a very large pond and he was just kind of sitting there alone which was unusual. Today all the ducks were following me for feed and he was again sitting off alone at the edge of the pond. I walked towards him and he got kind of nervous and decided to move away. When he did, he got up and moved very slowly, trembling profusely as he went. He didn't seem wobbly, just slow and trembling. I haven't noticed any other symptoms yet.

I'm thinking it could be botulism or a niacin deficiency. We feed the ducks pellets mixed with scratch grain, so it doesn't seem like he should have a niacin deficiency but I'm also hoping that's all it is...

Any suggestions or ideas for what this could be? Thanks.

I like to add more niacin to duck pellets to be sure. Especially if they’re eating scratch grain and things they find around the pond. It’s possible he’s not eating enough duck pellets to get enough niacin. I hope that’s all too
