Hi! I have a 1 year old male Khaki Campell duck that, as of this morning, had an unusal limp. He was okay yesterday, but right now he struggles to walk. He can't keep his balance and has to use his wings to catch himself and stop himself from wobbling when he walks. He also sits with his butt raised, which strikes me as odd. None of the other ducks are showing symptoms, there's not a visible wound. His poop is little and runny. I've put him on niacin water and given him electrolytes and vitamin B, but no vets around here will take a duck. He seems hesitant to eat.

Usually a mix of chicken and duck feeds, but for the last month or so it's been mostly chicken feed. Reason is that we buy in bulk all at once and ended up with more chicken food. I assumed it may be a niacin thing because of that which is why i started giving the niacin water, but if so, is there any fast way to remedy it that you know? Fortunately we are getting more duck feed in the coming days

I'd add nutritional yeast to the feed for the duck. He might have just sprained his leg, but supplemental niacin will not hurt especially since it's eating chicken feed. The nutritional yeast is beneficial for all poultry as well. Or iff you have nutri-drench, you can add that to the water for a boost.

I am not going with the niacin deficiency. I would say it’s more likely a worm overload, canker or heavy metal poisoning. Of Course there are lots of other things it could be, but I would start with those first.
