my duck looks scaley??

so, its my first time incubating and hatching baby ducklings! off to a shaky start. the first duck that already has a cracked egg looks kind of weird, i can only see a sliver of the inside. im hoping this is just apart of the egg and not the duck. It looks a bit scaley like a lizard or something... any ideas of what is happening? also, this duck has been in the egg for awhile like this now like maybe 6-12 hours, is it having trouble getting out? and if so, what do i do to help? please answer asap

24- 36 hrs is not uncommon when it comes to hatching. There's a thread / write up on when to assist and how. I'm on my phone otherwise I'd link to it.
