). I got her around the same time as my other chickens and they have all been laying for awhile now. She sits in nesting boxes every once and awhile and tests out making nests in the corners of the coop. But no eggs. She is perfectly healthy. Ive had a few other people have the same issue. Its uncommon but sometimes they just don't lay. A true homesteader would cull them but I can't bring myself to do that. My dud is also strangely small (but not bantam).
If you are really hoping for a broody duck. You can try a clutch of fake eggs and see if she responds, but I would not spend money on real eggs unless she has been broody for 4-6 days. I have heard that Welsh Harlequins are the best broody ducks and best moms. I don't know this from experience as my welsh harlequin is only 3 weeks old, but maybe in the future you could try them.
