My duck

You need to go get a size 18 french catheter tube from a medical supply store, pharmacy or vet. If you can't find one, get 16" of aquarium air line or silicon tubing instead. You will also need a 30-60ml syringe that the tube will fit on, so get the tube, then syringe. Tractor Supply should have syringes. You will also need some Kaytee Baby Bird food from Petsmart or Petco. Might also be a good idea to get some Pedialyte.

Go get your supplies and I will PM you my number.

I feel like she is doing better. But I don't know. She is walking all around now, just wobbly while doing it. She can scratch her face now, before she could barely move. Her poop is like diarrhea. She wasn't peeping now she's making a few sounds like weep weep weep. Occasionally.

It seems like she is crying and wants to be left alone though. She ate alot of peas today, barely any seeds though.

What are you offering her for treatment right now? Have you given her food grade charcoal or medicine? Aside from peas and seeds, what is her regular diet?

If you already told us, please forgive me.

Her regular diet is the seeds and lettuce, peas. Sometimes I give them crickets but they freaked out with them so I don't usually give bugs often. They used to forage outside but since there house fell down I haven't put them outside.. I don't know what else to go e them. My feed store just got pellets so I was gonna try that too.

I did t get any treatment aside from the calcium. I tried asking about charcoal but I don't know how to give them that or how much or how often. I did notice a little wheezing today. Can I buy over the counter meds for her? I can't find a vet near me who handles ducks.

Feed stores sell antibiotics, you may want to get some.

For charcoal, even a teaspoon of food grade activated charcoal in a pint of water given at night may help.

I would get a good poultry or duck feed from the feed store, and I would at this point get some poultry vitamins and put the recommended amount in their water overnight once a week.

She may have digestive problems from what she has been eating. Probiotics - also available at the feed store - may help. She could have become impacted from eating so much grass. Do you give them grit or crushed oyster shell?

See if you can get ahold of Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks - even the library may be able to get you a copy so you can read the chapter on feeding and housing ducks.

Thank you so much.!! I will go in the morning and get everything you said. I don't give oyster shell or grit but I will get them too. I am going to get the catheter too that casportpony advised, I should have everything tomorrow. I even got some stuff to build there home today and started it too. Where would I get grit and oyster shell??
