My duckling follows me!!!

the only ducks we have ever had were wild ones but they followed me everywhere! after a while i had to be very careful and it actually got annoying!'

We kept our ducklings inside for a while as we hatched them with an incubator... they followed us everywhere! As soon as someone stood up to go out of the room, they were guaranteed to have a little duckling running after them cheeping like mad! You have to be so careful where you stepped, as ours really got under our feet... it was really cute though!

Unfortunately when they got older they weren't really interested unless you had food or a water container with you!

Oh Duckgirl, I am so glad your babies have arrived. My babies don't follow me. I have mostly Runners this time.

My big ducks, however do. My 2 Pekin Drakes like to be where I am IF I am inside the fence. But suprisingly, the 5 Mallards like to be where I am too. They will fly to me. I find this amazing when I am using the lawn mower or power tools.

I think they are all food motivated, but I still like their company.

I got my duckling form metzers, and it would follow me everywhere! I raised only one of them so it get really dependent and chirps loudly when anyone
leaves it alone. It likes to constantly be around people and if nobody is home, it would just cry ALL day until it got tired enough to sleep.
It's really cute though when it runs around and follows me and everyone in the house and LOVES to be held. If you hold him he gets really quiet
and a lot of the time falls asleep in your arms

It made friends with our little dog though and follows him around when he's near. haha
