Just a couple hours ago my almost 3 week old duckling was scratching his eye and the next thing I know he's "crying" and it starts bleeding! I got a little scared and didn't really know what to do...I put a little drop of contact solution in it, I looked it up and from what I read it's safe. And it's just a little hurt now, I can see that he closes it and even try's scratching it again. I don't know what to
Do! His nails are really pointy and sharp and we tryed filing them down but he keeps trying to scratch. I tryed to let him swim so he could dunk his head but he just wanted out...also. I know I've read that their poop changes depending on what they eat, but I've been feeding him the same thing for the past week which is feed and water. And his poop is coming out all sorts of greens and sometimes really liquidy and I think it might be diarrhea. And this has happened twice already that some white stringy and gooey thing comes out either with or after his poop and sometimes just hangs there and I'm a little worried about it. Is he sick?..if anyone has any thoughts about anything I would appreciate it SOO much!!
