my duckling has red thing on beak

I just got this duckling on Sunday and he has been great other then the fact he/ she isn't very fond of people yet. Cuddles ( duckling's name) seems to have something red on the end of her beak. I'm not sure if she bumped it or what but i'm concerned about. It's not a bump though. Please let me know if you know what i should do.

yes he is eating and drinking. he is sleeping and it's hard to take a pic
