I have a pair of Silver and a Pair of the Blue butterscotch, 1 hen out of my blue fawn trio, my split to white mandarin, and my pintail that all went broody. So far My mandarin had three good eggs, somehow cracked 2 and they died then the final egg pipped, she left it alone and one of the other ducks or a pair of silver japs that I have in the pen got to it(she nested on the ground) picked it and then it died. The silver and Blue butterscotch both decided to stop sitting which all of their eggs died. I luckily took some eggs off of the blue butterscotch because she had to many and stuck them in my incubator. Thus far my Pintail(who is sitting on some call eggs) and Blue Blue fawn is still going strong. I am not sure whether or not it was a good idea i took the blue butterscotch out of the incubator and gave them to the blue fawn to replace a few of her eggs that were no good. I also had 3 calls make nests in the yard and all three were not good. We have small pens we stick over them at night to protect them.
Here is a picture of my white calls who made their nests right next to each other
