My duckies just LOVED bath time. I raised the temperature of the water and the water level and after 5 seconds of "get me out of here" they were swimming like pros. They loved it!!! Tried them with small amount of mashed banana too and that was also a hit. They are back preening under the heatlamp. Tomorrow they will get to explore the outdoors, if it is warm enough, My duckies are happy and therefore so am I. LOL

I know most of you are going to think I am crazy but...
I am afraid to let my ducks on the grass in case they run away. They seem quite skittish, however bathtime is now a huge hit but they are still nervous of me. What if I put them on the grass and I can't catch them?
Does this seem ridiculous to anyone? I wasn't this protective of my children.lol

Do you have any sort of metal pen? i have THE best one it's actually made for rabbits but i have used it for the ducklings and chickens .. this way they get out but not away.. mine is sorta like this, try petsmart, pet valu etc.

I was afraid of my six doing the same thing when I brought them outside for the first time on Saturday. I figured they're pretty easy to catch though and always move in a group, so with my boyfriend as an extra pair of hands we went out! We just sat with them between our legs and they didn't really seem to go far. And actually, when we stood up and backed away, they followed us! And all this time I'd been worried about them not bonding to me!

They travel in groups so although they move fast they are easy enough to round up, just like chickens or grown ducks perhaps with an extra pair of hands you can just sort of whoosh them along.
