I have 8 Mallard ducks that Ive had since we moved here 3 years ago. Ive never pinned them up they were always free to come and go as they pleased but we always leave food out for them whether they were here or not.
This spring I noticed that they were spending a lot of time away from home but I just figured they had found some new friends to hang out with since we do live near the coast and there are a lot of water ways and wetlands that water fowl live in close by.
Well this tropical storm blew threw this morning and when it had passed I noticed that all my ducks had come home to weather the storm and they had 3 hens with them that Ive never seen before. I dont know it these are wild hens or someone's domestic ducks that came home with mine.
Oh well, it really doesnt matter theyre all welcome. The more the merrier I guess.
