My ducks butt..?

Another day another random problem. We put her to bed 10pm or so wake up 8am. She can't stand. Right leg is completely limp, with zero signs of anything wrong during the day.

She cant really walk and uses her wing as support to move or get around. We put her in the tub to see if she was moving it at all which she seems to be able to move it back and forth just not up and down if that makes sense. She was acting normal, and it was bizarre to see her eat any feathers that fell off her, even big ones. I know they do this for protein, or so I've read.

If I saw videos of how she was acting I'd think some type of deficiency from food or botulism. She's on these meds so I wouldn't even think botulism is a choice here...

Other than that she seems completely normal and I was just talking yesterday about how it seems like her belly has been less distended.

Here are some videos.

*Second video as soon as I turned the fan on she stopped panting.

I didn't even get this in my alerts. Do you think she is starting to molt? I do see my birds eating some feather that drop to the ground but not a lot. Are you supplementing with any kind of extra protein right now? if not I'd start by offering some good quality cat kibble some meal worms sunflower seeds etc. High protein in other word. Some will even it salmon and tuna rinse off salt.
Also you may want to contact the vet who prescribed the meds they maybe causing a nutrient deficiency it can happen. Or some other kind of side effect.

How much longer will she be on the meds? @Kiki to Nana

We have a meatbird 22% feed mixed with her oats and layer food and we have harrisons bird food as well. She literally is not eating anything except peas right now. So we are adding yeast flakes to her peas and brewers yeast to her water. Tried giving chicken last night she would not eat it.

She is up and limping around at least a decent sign. We think maybe she sprained her leg somehow or I think maybe our other duck stepped on her some how. But x-rays show nothing abnormal. other possibility is she is with inflammation something is pressing on her nerves...but she definitely seems to be getting smaller so I don't think that's the case.

She can't survive long on nothing but peas. What about trying to slowly syringe feed her some Kaytee baby bird food. It would be better to tube feed it though. She is in need of nourishment.

So the vet checked out her leg?

Yeah

Yeah he did, nothing wrong that we can see from x-rays or feel.

We are gone camping for the day. So she is having some time alone and rest for the day. We will address her issues tomorrow, hopefully she will be more active and wanting more to eat by then.
