I'm trying to drive away the flies, (Looks like i raise flies) but my ducks eat the wood shavings, not hurt them?

Are they occasionally eating them or eating large quantities?

i'd put them on straw, or i used to use 'bed down' for my ducks it was a shavings straw mix which had a citrusy smell to it so would prob help get rid of flys and might put ducks off eatting it

Did you get them some proper food? I know you have been feeding them only cracked corn and the one duck has recently eaten yarn. Once they are eating proper food and has an adequate duck diet- they should likely stop eating things that aren't food. Hunger will make animals eat some crazy things.

? Yes if this is the case perhaps you should look at your feeding program .. all my Muscovy are bedded on shavings and i have ones that are less than a week old right now..
