So I don’t think the ducks have eaten any of the duck food yet they’ve drank water and they ate some scrambled egg I made them. What can I do to help them eat?

I’d scatter some food around their area to get them more curious in trying it. You could also put food in / around their water dish. I’m guessing they’re either too nervous to try, or they aren’t aware that it’s food to begin with.

If they continue to not eat, I’d probably put some electrolytes in their water and try offering other tasty foods, like the eggs, peas, corn, oats, mealworms, etc., just so they can have something.

Thank you! I did scatter some food around but they still didn’t eat it. They ate some scratch grains last night but they still won’t eat the duck food.

So I put them out in the old run ant they seem to like it better out there. The younger one was hopping in and out of the pool and seemed very happy and the older one got in the pool one time, but she also seems happy! They’re still terrified of me though. Sorry for the bad picture I had to zoom in a lot cause if I come closer, they lay down and hide.

Ok I have officially named them!

I sat outside with them today and threw them treats. They nibbled at it but never actually ate any of it and the chickens kept stealing the treats through the fence.

I just got 3 more!! They are calls and they are so cute! The 2 penciled calls are paired and the Drake will follow me every time I take the female out of the cage! It’s so cute!
